Camp Blood 2014

Camp Blood has such a great vibe and a lot of potential. The atmosphere feels very much like an overnight summer camp (think Camp Crystal Lake). There’s a cozy bonfire surrounded by what looks like bunkhouses, canoes, hot chocolate, marshmallow roasting, and other concessions. Sadly, the trail did not further reinforce the theme and just didn’t deliver. The costuming, effects, and actors were all lacking and the scares just weren’t there. Also, it was very obvious that they needed more actors to fill the dead areas, which is a common problem at haunts. This is such a great theme that can go so far. We hope to see them take advantage of this in the future because it could truly be something special and worth attending every year.
